We have reached capacity registration is now closed for this event.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 13 for a very special day at the Prescott Collection in Palm Springs.
There will be a tour, a spontaneous car show, a cookout and a fundraiser to benefit the Palm Springs Fire Department. There will be over 80 cars to see, and Host Brad Prescott has graciously offered to cover all costs for the event, asking only that participants make a donation of $20 (or more if you like) to the firefighters association. 100% of all donations will go directly to the Fire Department. We’ll assemble around 10 AM, serve lunch at noon, and conclude with remarks and some special awards around 1 PM.
Why the Fire Department? Car Show & Palm Springs Fire Department Fundraiser at the Prescott Collection Because firefighters and first responders put themselves on the line every day. Because they actually pay a lot of their everyday expenses out of pocket. And besides, fire trucks are cool.
Did you know paramedics carry small plush toys on board the ambulance for children? For those who can, we will set up a table to receive donated plush toys (small and new only please, with the tag attached) and forward them to the firefighters for the kids.
To get into the spirit, we’re encouraging people to bring red cars or white cars (turns out Palm Springs fire trucks are white) and will park them together in a special area inside the gate. Of course, all colors are welcome, so don’t go running to Maaco.
Local Caterer to the Stars Lynn Hammond will be grilling burgers and hot dogs for a classic cookout luncheon. In addition, we’ve invited the firemen to participate as well, subject to availability of course.
So polish up your favorite red or white car and plan to join us on April 13. Registration will open March 15 and closes on April 5. Pre-registration is required at greatautos.org. Want to help but can’t attend? You can make a donation below.
